Fantasy Football 2020 Top 5 Picks

Dez here with YOUR top 5 fantasy football picks for the 2020 season

4 time fantasy football champion. Now that the NFL is in the books, its time to get ready for the 2020 NFL year. Which means FANTASY FOOTBALL.

For this list, we will focus on Full point PPR leagues. Running backs and one wide out make our list for top 5.

Lets jump right in

  1. Christian McCaffrey, RB1, Car

The consensus number one overall pick. You will have a hard time finding anyone to argue this selection. CMC returns this year as the top fantasy scorer any fantasy player by 159 pts. Running backs make up the majority of the top 5. Even if he has a slight reduction in use, the amount of catches on top of carries is too juicy to pass up.

2. Saquon Barkley, RB2, NYG

The remaining three running backs come down to personal preference. In this case the starting Giant comes in at number two. Barkley will have a young quarterback tossing check downs on a regular basis and his running ability is next to none when he gets to the third level. Every touch has the opportunity to be a game breaker.

3. Ezekiel Elliot, RB3, DAL

Availability and a star filled offense gives the nod to Zeke. The only missed games in his career came during a suspension and meaningless week 17’s. Break out ability should bounce back this year and the amount of catches he receives a year has shown a steady incline since being drafted in 2014. Plus you get to “Feed” when he scores.

4. Michael Thomas, WR1, NO

The first overall wide receiver is forth on our board. Whether you owned him last year, or played against him, you remember he had insane numbers due to the amount of targets Brees peppers him. Outscoring the next wide out by 99 pts, Thomas is coming of a record breaking year for receptions. The floor for Thomas is 16 pts a week, and that’s just the floor. We want consistency and low risk with our first round picks. That is exactly the reason to justify taking the first wide receiver this early.

5. Dalvin Cook, RB4, MIN

Last year’s performance leads us to believe this power back can lead you to a championship. 2019 was a break out and healthy year for Cook (keeper leagues breathing a sigh of fresh air). The Vikings are committed to the run scheme and will give Cook 15 carries a game. I can see Kamara being selected here if you are worried about health. However, the upside in usage forces Cook to round out our top 5 list.
